Hi, what would you do? Have you ever owned both? Just sold my 90 county td, but what next? My needs = Muddy dog, muddy boots, horse feeds, no water in my field so water containers (but will need to pull a water bowser soon) across a v v muddy field, roll and harrow my field, Me + one most of the time (&dog), but it's also my daily driver so maybe a bit of luxury & cleanliness would be nice for a change. Can a disco be as practical as a defender without wrecking it? Was pretty much decided on a disco at least for now, i dont want to spend a great deal as the remainder is earmarked for a horsebox, but then saw a L reg 200 quite cheap, it's a hard top though which i didn't really want but should i compromise? But why is it so cheap! The disco insurance is about £100+ more than a 90 but about £2000 cheaper (apart from the one i've just seen) to buy than a 200 90!(never buy a td again) If it wasn't for the horsebox money i would be looking at aound £5000 for a nice 90 county but was going to compremise at about £2-2500 for an m reg ish disco. What to do, what to do??!?!? Please help!
(sorry if you've already seen this, i put it in 3 catagories for max feedback!)

the difference between a disco and a 90 is 10 inches, that my friend is the only difference, same engines, same axles, same everything, as foir off road ability i would put a defender and a disco in the same class, its alright people saying the defender is better, like for like they are identical, the disco is slightly more comfortable , beleive it or not due to the longer wheelbase, its also very sliughtly more economical as it is slighly more aerodynamic ;)

Never owned a Disco but have muddy dogs. i agree with Yella about ability.
The dogs might be more of a problem in a disco and the price difference can be a good thing when you sell them on. I've had three 90/110s and they have all held their price well over a three year period. ie £4K down to £2.5K
£6K down to £4.5K so you need to think on this as well. I thought the TD wasn't bad, till i bought the 200. I thought the 200 was great, till i got the 300

Thanks for your views, i pretty much thought the disco would do the job but just don't have any experince of them. Right about them holding the price, i bought my 90 for £2600 2 years ago and sold it last week for £3000!! I thought td was ok until it started costing! & everyone, & i mean everyone told me to get a 200! Think it will prob be a disco for the time being. If i wasn;t getting a horsebox it wold be a 90 everytime!
