Hi all,

I'm looking to do a conversion form truck to van - and am looking to buy a new rear door.

Obviously the Landy doesn't have any hardware currently, so I wanted to know what the difference is between the different doors.

I've been looking at paddocks and they have 2 models - 2007 and 3007 - does anyone know the difference?

Thanks

There is no difference in the dimensions or what you can fit it to. the difference is in the construction of the door itself. the later models ones were one piece pressed steel rather than the steel frame ali skin of the older version.

super thanks. Was there much difference between the series / early defender and the mid defender door?

Apparently on paddocks the 2007 is the early defender / series and the 3007 is up to 2001 - but they kind of look the same? just 1 set of holes missing for the centre hinge I believe they put on later - I know the later defender / puma had a 1 piece door...

Series door frame is different inside, position of spare holder [ if fitted ] not the same as on 90 which has it higher and offset for better hitch clearance.
No position for rear wiper on series door. Puma door has different shaped window.

It's very much a "you get what you pay for", a cheap door will rust and rot quickly. There are all steel galvanised doors out there that will cost more, but last much longer. A local (N Ireland) firm was selling them for £250 a couple of years back.
