pic of offending area ready for new outriger

What’s the point of polishing the top of the chassis is rusting away? I spend more time cleaning my chassis than any other bit of my 90 lol

post photos of the finished repair though :D

Its about ready for a new chassis i welded a new rear member on a year or two back but the owner dosent have the space to do it which is a shame as he has the time and the skills
( industrial spana man by trade)
Finished picks tomarow night

All done . Couple of hours thismorning had the new outrigger trimmed up and welded in
Not to bad to do but owner did half the work by cutting old one out and cleaning every where ready for welding

new bit wasnt the best fit and if i had been fitting it as intended by removeing all the old one instead of spliceing a bit in it would have made the hole for the bulkhead bolt 6mm to close to the chassis rail
Also the end of the new outriger was to long and needed 6mm triming off to miss the bottom of the wing/bodywork
So maybe hole for bolt was 6mm out ? Well it was britpart
Pic of finished job

should last rest of chassis out . Footwells will be next for some tin work
