Down our local tracks the ruts seem to be getting worse and worse. So much so that the floorplan on my 90 rubs down most of them whereas my mates range will clear them and drive nicely.

Now whats the easiest way to lift the body on a 90? My mate mentioned a body lift where i dont have to buy all new sus?

Please advice. :)

Surely your diffs will ground out long before the floor pan does. If you want lift fit bigger tyres.

Hmm yeah i see your point..haha! My floor pan deffo seems to hit though and i pierced my fuel tank on our last outing.

Whats the point in a lift normally? I dont really fancy fitting big wheels thats the other thing.

Big wheels is the only way you will get under diff clearence, failing that body lift will keep your centre of gravity lowest. not sure about a 90 but on a disco you can do a 45mm lift with no problems with the steering shaft or clutch cable.

if your floor pan is hitting the deck, you must be running portal axles! biggest tyres to fit with no lift would be 265/75's. or you could get lift spacers were you dont need to buy new springs/dampers etc. these are around £80 from mill services. ive been running them for about 18months now with no problems. dont go over 2" unless you want to start spending big $$$ upgradinmg everytihng else. once you have a 2" lift you could prob stretch to 35" tyres :)

285/75s? What width rims do you have? Im assuming 285 would be too wide to have on my standard disco 1 steel rims.....

Even if you did lift the body, which wouldn't be very easy, the fuel tank would still hit the deck cos it's fastened to the chassis.
