Help!

My heater motor has stopped working. I have taken of the switch and cleaned it up but nothing is happening. I put a meter on to the terminals on the switch, to check the voltage but only got a reading of 2.4 volts (approx) the fuse is ok and the fan motor is ok, I tried connecting power direct to the motor terminals and it turns fine.

I had taken off the steering wheel and lifted the dash to get access to the switch and noticed that I have some spare wires floating around i.e. a black, a brown, a green all with the round female connectors and I don't know if these are spares as I can't see anywhere they can connect to. While struggling with the heater problem I noticed that my wipers have now stopped working as well.

I have checked the fuses for both the heater motor and the wipers- OK

can anyone tell me how to disconnect the speedo cable from the speedo.

Any advice will be very welcome

Don

Try cleaning the fuse holders and your cable should pull out the speedo with a slight pinch and pull.

Thanks Bigsi. You were right on both counts. The heater is working better than it ever did and the wipers are working too.

Much appreciated
