Hi.
I'm slowly going through our 1989 90 and fixing problems. I've got to the rear brakes and have done the offside. The nearside, however, is 'wet' inside.
The previous owner passed on a full set of spare parts for the rear drums, including new cylinders. On inspection both cylinders look fine, although the rubber is slightly grey on the nearside, but no brake fluid leaks.
The previous owner also included a set of 3 oil seals, which I suspect is the real problem with the 'wet'. The liquid smells and looks oily rather than 'brakey'. There's no obvious leak around the axel either, so can't tell where it's coming from. So, what is the most likely problem and what parts have I got. The three seals are different to each other.
3 photos below, seals at the end. Cheers!
