hi, I've just finished upgrading my 1984 90 with a 200 tdi engine. Rang my insurance company and asked to change the policy from my old 110 to this 90 and have been told that I need to re-MOT the vehcile due to the change from a NA diesel engine to the 200 tdi, it currently has a MOT I checked this with VOSA and they said that's incorrect. Anyone had the same experience or different?

i've had that before, it differs from company to company - they are just trying to protect their interests by ensuring that it's not going to fall out and squash a child on the first corner

go with a different company...NFU are pretty good. Ive heard they wont even charge extra for a TDI convert into an earlier 90/110.
