Not Land Rover related, it's for an obsolete bit of roller reefing gear on my boat. The forestay, which runs up the centre of the foil is 7.14mm or 9/32" diameter. It has a 70mm long threaded section on each end which screws into the top and bottom bearing assemblies. I've stripped, cleaned and rebuilt the top and bottom units. No problem there.
The problem is I have to shorten the foil and rod by approximately a foot, which means re-tapping the rod. Try as I might I can't get the TPI count to come in at anything other than 24.
Can anyone help me source a 9/32" 24 TPI die?
