Hi all I put a new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing in my 87
sammy. Had it going forwards and backwards feeling the clutch out. Moved
transfer case shifter now stuck in neutral and I can't get it to move. Any
help will be greatfull Thanks.

Remove the lever from the transfer case and use a big flat screwdriver and
try to move forks back and forward.

Look like most of Sammy close those years has this problem. I use to have 3
of them and 2 had same problem. Zenteren is wright. That way you will be able
to resolve problem not permanently. The transfer have some wear internaly. I
resolve my problem by adding a washer in the bottom of the shift. In my case
the shift go to deep inside and that dont let to move correctly the shift. Or
maybe you need to remove the transfer to check for some wear parts.
