i failed emissions, my exhaust has a strong gas smell. i've replaced egr
valve and 02 sensor. i can still smell raw fuel. although the truck seems
to run great.

Does the plow block the air flow to the radiator? If so, a new fan clutch
might help (or if it's electric, check the fan motor). Or some kind of
scoop positioned to grab air from beyond the plow and direct it at the
radiator.

try driving with plow only a few inches off of the road this was a common
problem with previous chevy trucks this would help the problem not
completly cure it


 
If truck has an EGR ck it for proper operation & if has been replaced with
after market ck to insure the corect one is on it. Grabbing at straws but
do you have the correct spark plugs in it? I would feel a colder plug
would not give you a clean burn resulting in unburned fuel. Ck air filter
for restrickson and choke working properly.
