Hi everyone:)
I’ve got a 1986 classic white an idle issue I’d like to address, maybe some of you are familiar with this problem?
When the engine is cold the idle is poor/ rough- sometimes even dies out. When I take the car for a drive it will after 20-25 min of drive go very smoothly. I may add that the car had been parked ( inside) for some years but was serviced in beforehand of the parking and of course before starting it up again.

Is it a carburettor engine - & if so which ones - or is it fuel injection & if EFi has it the flapper air flow meter or the hotwire AFM?

Carbs or EFI, the latter introduced in Oct. '85 but SU's could still be specified.

If it's original it will be a flapper at that age.
