Hi all,
I have just bought a 53 plate disco, I have noticed a small grind in 3rd gear, it happens when going up and down gear, any clues what it could be?

baulk ring ftc3584 only about £5 but need complete strip down of box to fit

dont know many garages that would open a gear box up they normally fit recon ,though there are some about

Try a change of oil, MTF94 is the recommended oil, many say it improves the box action.

Ashcrofts do exchange boxes and also a fitting service, I don't think they rebuild your own box, long time since I spoke with Dave.

Ok I will try that, it does not do it all the time at low revs, only high revs, more coming down the box than going up.
