right when i first got me disco it went into 4WD ok ( well the light would come on , on the dash ) now i can move the 4WD lever (with some force) but the light does not come on , and i cant seem to engage 4WD

how can i free it up ? i have never drivin my disco in 4WD

try some wd 40 on the lever. give it a good schoosh while yer working the lever
and don't leave it so long without moving it next time...

ok mate thanks , were do i out the WD40 ?

do i take the gator off the gear leaver ? and just spray it down there ?
 
just spray it on anything that looks like it might be stiff, probelly best to take yer rubber off first though
 
As with most things on a Landy if you don't use it for a while it just stops working! A good dose of WD40 (other lubs are available) should sort it out.

as far as things go the only **** that thinks he's been insulted is matto. he's under the misguided opinion that i insulted his precious landrover. when the truth is i never did not. my lawyer has asked for proof of this susposed insult but so far none as been for coming. so he gonna ask the judge to nul and void this afford to my front, and let the record show that no insults was being sent from this direction.
furthermore i think you will find that the initial insult was fired from matto and that this far retaliation from my side has been fairly low key.
so to sum up " it wasn't me!! a big boy did it and ran away!!

ffs is there no end to it ok i have no interest in why people put chequer plate all over their landies... there that should put an end to it...having said that i seen some chequer plate windscreens on ebay do you think i should buy them
 
Hey I did a similar thing with my greenhouse. Kids kept breaking the glass, so I replaced it with ply. I had a realy poor crop of tomatos this year.

i had a bumper crop of jamician five leaf tomatoes once and me cat ate it. bloody thing was stuck to the ceiling for a week.
