Hi guys... I'm on the look for a landy and I'm liking the rangerover p38 4.6 hse v8

I'm looking to use it green laning... What are they like when it comes to water? Obviously a snorkel will be on my list but what about the electrics?

Any help is most appreciated.

Ps anybody selling 1? Lol

Any moisture inside the cab of a p38 is a problem. Wading, and getting water in to the footwell and under the driver seat is a big problem and best avoided!

A good door seal is required then lol I don't intend in trying to be a hero but going green laning in wales it's always bloody wet lol

Reason for a p38 is I fancy green laning in an arm chair lol

better still, get a P38 with trailer . . . . then buy a tractor and load it on the trailer. This way you get the "fun" of getting muddy, and drive home in comfort.

If you get one go for a late on with four wheel traction control, I think 99my onwards and as said any water in cabin on to electrics can be and off, they have a 500mm wade depth as standard on air.

Cheers for the info guys... I will prob keep it on air unless it fails then I'll swap for springs. What modifications would you recommend to make it more "off road" friendly?

Resite the Becm other than that go look on the tube plenty of p38 off road on their will give you plenty to consider.

Relocate the BeCM and the ECUs under the passenger seat to somewhere else.

Then look up P38 revolution (I think that is its name) on Goooooooooogle for some inspirational images!

I personally wouldn't convert to springs
With Air it is easier to alter ride height when needed and is easier to repair
