Hi,

Im asking for a friend who has a 127 Ambulance which originally has a 3.5 carrbed V8 in it and he was wondering if it would be possible to fit a 4.2 EFI engine out of a Range Rover into it and if anyone else had possibly done this conversion.

Cheers

Not my area at all but can you not get hotwire kits to make the electrics far more basic and in keeping with an old carb engine?

I really don’t know either. I’m just trying to learn about the 3.9 Hotwire at the moment as I’m putting one in a defender.

@Rhys_Cars YT , yes the 4.2 will drop straight in, and definitely best to install a known working engine will all the ecu/wiring loom/electricals.

@Def90man , have you looked at Mark Adams [Tornado Systems] tech info? There's a mass readily available online + the v8forum.co.uk has a superb collective RV8 knowledge, similar to LZ.
Also Mark Thompson's G33 site is superb.

Yes I’m on 3/4 forums including the v8 forum. Plenty of reading out there
