I am replacing the head gaskets on my V8. At some point it had LPG although the tank and main fuel lines from the boot to engine bay are no longer around. It was a Zavoli Alesei system. LPG ECU and tapped manifold injectors still insitu. My mileage is low and I have no history on the system functionality so I'd like to get rid of the spaghetti junction of hoses and clear some space.

The plan is to replace or plug the lower inlet manifold, remove the hot water T off's to the regulator. Ideally I'd like to reinstate the injector control wiring to stock and remove the LPG ECU. Has anyone done this who can give a guide? I've looked at an old installation manual online to reverse the wiring process but its anything but clear.

Many thanks for any guidance.

theres 2 sorts of LPG loom, depending on age.old ones piggy back the petrol and can be ripped out, newer ones are in-line, ie the injector wires are cut into the petrol injector wires, these will need connecting and the petrol injector wires re-connecting as a single wire to each again.

hope you can understand that!

either way is easy, but if you need to cut/reconnect wires, do it one at a time so you dont get mixed up

Many thanks Kermit_rr. Think I have the later as if I've found the right installation diagram online it says to either use an existing Bosch connector or cut and solder the wiring to each injector. Hopefully all will become clear when I start unwrapping the insulation tape.

If it's similar to Prins, the existing wiring is probably cut like this diagram. This stops the petrol injectors from firing in LPG mode.
The LPG injectors have separate wires from the LPG ECU so should be easier to remove.
