hi folks,
okay so just done a cambelt change and i also had to renew the p gasket so done all that.
but now it wont start. its turns over and some smoke came out the exhaust. but will not start. does that mean the fuel pump is miss timed. i know i messed up when i took the old belt off because i didn't put the timing pin in before i removed it, and so the fuel pump moved a good half a turn. now, i thought i had rectified it because i re timed it by moving it again, so the pin goes in out freely. before i take everything out again, could there be an other issue? or is it just the pump timing. because of how much the pump cog moved will i need to get the pump itsself re timed?
i am pretty sure the cam and crank are timed right, because i used the pin in the fly wheel and i lined up the cam with the lines on the timing case.
hope that all made sense.
thanks for the help
