Hi, just a quick question. ive had play in the rear output bearing for a while and its recent taken a big turn for the worse. meaning im getting a ticking noise when slowing down (in or out of gear) and vibrations (prop UJ's fine)

Is there a way to adjust the rear output bearing to get rid of this play. or is it a whole new bearing?

(300tdi 94 disco manual)

you cant adjust output bearing as its a ball bearing ,stc1130,you have to replace it ,often intermediate gear has play it can be adjusted on outer nut as has taper bearings, you need to remove input gear or sump plate to check

okay, so just need 1x bearing and 1x seal? and assuming the job is the same for front output as rear output ? (loooking at busterbus guide)
