Has anybody replaced the waste gate on their turbo?
I'm rebuilding my turbo. Waste gate on ebay is £30, otherwise about £200 elsewhere?
Any issues with quality or is it too simple to go wrong?

Actuator you mean?
Waste gate is just a hinged flap in the exhaust.

I fitted a cheap ebay one, works a treat, only thing is that you need to set the wastegate to fnd the right pressure.

So fitting a turbo gauge is also useful.

We always use the half hole method & this is on evo's ect including my own.
Once the actuator is fitted screw out the rod until it covers half the hole on the
wastegate arm(fully closed)& you need to put a little pressure to pull the rod onto
the wastegate job done.

I done a quick search for you & found this vid if the above doesn't make any sense

Is there a chance the spring inside is a different stiffness though, so it may not operate correctly?
I ended up buying it, so I guess we’ll soon see.
Only issues is it’s a total pain to try and adjust once in place!
