Hi,

Hope someone can help. Seem to be having a slight problem with the brakes on my '95 Tdi. Warning lights are all ok, but it feels like the ABS is kicking in for no apparent reason just as the car comes to a halt, causing a juddering sensation at the front end  . Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? It doesn't seen to hahve affected the overall braking distance but is a little concerning. Any potential remedies or estimated costs to correct would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Got the same age truck
Had same problem, pulling up to standstill abs kicks in (very annoying)..

Fixed by (not me) checking for worn wheels bearings (one was knackered), hub end float. sensor cleanliness and air gaps, exciter ring alignment.

Is your abs warning light coming on?????? Mine did but randomly sometimes on sometimes off after startup. Abs even klicked in when reversing to standsstill was a real pain, but not too expensivce or difficult to fix.

It all worked fine after that
