Hellloooooo,
Had my 300tdi injectors out to give them a clean to try to get smoother running....
found that they bear markings of a previous tinkerer and so decided i had nothing to loose and cracked em open for the full monty in a mates sonic cleaner....
trouble is inside sat on the rod inbeween the tip body/nozzle/pin -and- the washers/spring/main body, theres a kinda seated valve 2 piece thing that sits on the rod with a little shouldered inset...
of my 4x injectors i had 1x that had this valve one way, and 3x the other!
in my trawling of the interweb i cannot find any diagrams of this and very sparse other descriptions - ultimately confusing myself completely which is the correct way round???
anyone know what I'm on about and can assist?
-- also if anyone has any idea of the torque that they should be nipped back upto?
