The heater/cooling fan motor in my 300Tdi has just stopped working. I started the car one morning, it ran briefly then stopped. I've checked the motor connector plug with the selector at all 4 speed positions and no voltage.
I've had the selectro switch out (no small task) and that fine.
The resitor unit that sits in the duct looks fine but i dont know what resistance there should be, but didn't think this would cut the supply to the fan as someone said at speed 4 it is direct connection from the fuse.
I had a look in my haynes manual and theres a relay unit, but which relay is it? There are loads under the glove box which I think is where ti is supposed to be.
Any ideas? Could it be the relay? I had the fan out and it spins fine and free.
Thanks
Steve
