I am just about to put mine up for sale.
Its 1997 P Reg 300tdi hardtop with Massai side windows in Coniston green.
It has been dry stored since 2006
It has 57000 miles on the clock
It has recently been restored, as its been standing.
Its standing on 7.5 inch original wheels with 4 tyres that's done approx 2000 miles, there is also another on the spare, and another spare wheel and new tyre, so 6 wheels and tyres in all.
new fuel tank
new fuel lines and clips
new brake pipes
new discs
new pads
new heavy duty springs
new shock absorbers
new poly bushes throughout
new heater matrix
new water hoses and jubilee clips
cambelt and belts and pulleys changed
New rubber door seals all round
new oils and fluids everywhere
6 cans of Dinatrol has been sprayed into the chassis 3 months ago
5 litres of waxoyl on outside of chassis 3 months ago
all of the tub inside has been sound proofed with Silent Coat sound mat (NOT CAMPING MATS)
The inside rear, has been fitted out in British Hardwood cupboards, the full lengh of the rear over the wheel arches. with cupboards that open out or work tops that hinge up.
The cupboards are made so that if they are not liked/needed they can be removed without leaving a mess.
The sides are also lined and finished of flush with the Massai windows, in white waterproof plastic coated ply.
The body is in very good order, aluminium is soft there are a few small dents and dings, as all Defenders have.
The paintwork is good and has been polished with maguires paint wax and polish.
NOW THE MORE IMPORTANT BITS.
The chassis is mint, there is NO RUST WHAT SO EVER, IT HAS NOT BEEN WELDED EVER, AND NEEDS NO WELDING.
THE BULKHEAD IS SOLID AND NO WELDING DONE OR NEEDED,
It has not been on the road in winter, underneath is still green paint.
The engine, gearbox and running gear is also good and strong with no problems.
All locks work, also lights, heater, and it has a tow bar.
Taxed and MOT'd
And now for the bad bits....
The back door, looks as if it doesn't belong,it obviously is the original door, but it needs a respray as the owner before me used the Landy to move a stone building with lime mortar, and he reckons the lime has damaged the paintwork.
And the other bad bit,
I'm not giving it away, and am also in no desperate need or rush to sell.
I want £4750,or a very near offer,
There you go..
