just a quick one..... ive just fitted a 300tdi p/s pump to my v8.,.. not working!!!! and the thought occured to me that maybe the tdi runs anticlockwise?????

looking at the engine front on the pump is on the bottom right i believe therefore clockwise

Surely the side the pump is fitted does not make a difference as the belt will always be going around the same way regardless of which side it goes out from the center of the engine?

Are you sure the stearing box is working as i presume the reason you swaped the pump is because it was not working either!

i think he's sayin his v8 goes with the clock, but knows not that of 300 rotational status...

But is the P/S pump driven by the inside or outside of the serpent belt?

Then it will turn the opposite direction to a pump driven conventionally inside the drive belt.
