Hi
My 1996 300tdi central locking is playing up on the front passenger door.I unlock the car with the key on the drivers door. All doors unlock except the n/s/f.I can unlock it using the key in the n/s/f lock but have to keep the key turned & pull the handle at the same time otherwise the door pin drops slightly & it won't open.I have swapped the actuators but it makes no difference.Nothing is loose on the rods, etc.Could it be a problem with the outer door handle itself??

Any ideas would be great

Many thanks

Try adjusting the motor in the door. There isn`t alot of tolerance in them between lock and unlock. Just undo the 2 screws and move the motor slightly.

Could be.... also it could be the wee spring in the door lock broken as that is one of the symptons also the door pin droping back down halfway is another.

Ok.I have had the outer handle & lock barrel out,all seems fine, although a little play on the plastic that attaches to the rod at the back of the barrel, held on by the circlip.I left that rod undone & operated the inner door handle. That rod(that connects to the outer handle barrel lock) moved upwards slightly, even when disconnected from the servo actuator, thus making the door pin drop.I can hold the rod to stop it moving but i can hear a clicking noise.I have also adjusted the rod from the outer handle but this makes no difference at all.
Any other ideas?

Many thanks
