I'm selling my discovery, it's a 1995 300TDI in Green. I only bought it recently, but can't afford to be running 2 cars at the moment unfortunately. I can't bring myself to sell the mx5 despite this being much more practical (especially this time of year!).

I've done about 2500 trouble free miles in it. It has MOT until May and TAX (end of) May 2012. It has PAS/CL/EW and a tow bar.

Mechanically the car is very good. It starts perfectly well from cold even if you don't wait for the plugs to warm. The gearbox doesn't have any crunches that lots of these seem to get.

The day i bought it i stripped the intercooler, inlet manifold and pipework off and gave it a good soaking in degreaser (these get gunked up really badly with sludge after with years of use). I refitted it all cleaned out with a new top intercooler hose (EGR blanked!) and inlet/exhaust gasket. I also gave it a service with oil, filter and fuel filter being done. I have also fitted a de-cat to release any more free power that may be in there. I wanted it to be running as well as possible.

I currently have the fuelling turned up to a reasonable (not all-out) level to help the Disco along. It goes very well now with all these bits being done. I recently did a 400 mile round trip and a bit round town in which it did 35MPG. I am happy to reset the fuel pump for the buyer if that's wanted.

The interior is the usual tan colour, in reasonable condition for age. I fitted a different steering wheel to give me more leg room and make the drive nicer - both of which it does very well. I chose a Nardi leather 360mm wheel, which doesn't look out of place at all and is very nice to drive with compared to the standard plasticy, bus sized wheel. (original included). It has 4x electric windows (passenger rear not currently working)

It has Mangol wheels fiited, and comes with a full set of standard 300tdi Alloys which i have bought. It has a different set of nuts for both included. Currenlty has one standard alloy fitted due to a puncture in a mangol - i will try to get this sorted, however the wheels/tyres are the same size so it is completely safe!

It is a non sunroof model and so doesn't have a rotten boot floor like so many - only a couple of patches of surface rust.

I'm located in Plymouth, phone number 01752862543 (Rich) - g60rc@aol.com (i usually reply very fast!)

£1500

Well i'm open to sensible offers if anyone is a serious buyer, but i'm not dropping 30%!

Opinions are like arseholes mate, everyone's got one and I was just giving mine.

I might be wrong, I hope for your sake I am wrong coz I guess you paid near enough what you're asking for it and want to get your money back.

Good luck with the sale :)

a grand is about right and once th t n t is gone in a couple of months it'll be worth 600 notes

those dodgy wheels will reduce the value by 10% with or without tax

I was gonna mention that it might sell better with the original wheels on it and he could sell the chavvy bling seperately but thought better of it...........

Oh bugger I said it now didn't I

I would try the auto trader in the less than £1000 section
I sold my Mint Disco a couple of years ago for £1100 and had to take a part ex! but polish it, take a good set of pictures and ask around you never know, and if it snows that will be a Bonus. Its a lot of car for £1500
I recently sold my 91 Vitara after every one told me it was worth £3-500 I sold it for £1000 and the phone never stopped, so give it a try, it was down to a good discription and photos thats what did it

I do need this to go so will have to drop the price a fair amount - i will now take £1150 without the leather steering wheel, £1200 with!
