Anyone got a rough idea of what sort of fuel economy I could expect from a 300 tdi 90 defender, 1997 p. (manual)

Hi Phil, My 300TDI gets between 28 and 32 MPG if I am gentle, this drops to around 25 if I am more brutal around town scaring Chelsea tractors etc...

I find that simple things like chanin the fuel and air filters make a big difference, hope this helps

About 25mpg for a defender - the aerodynamics are similar to a garden shed
