First post, please be gentle.... I'm going to do a 300 Tdi conversion ( I have a good defender 300 engine lined up) and I'm wondering if I can use my 2.5td rad and just remount a intercooler else where in the engine bay ? Just a thought ? Also the engine has the R380 box, as it's from a defender will it line up or do I still need to swop it the Lt177 box ? Thanks in advance

disco and defender 300tdi engines are the same. hope you didn't pay a Premium for a "defender" engine.

If you swap the flywheel housing off the TD, then the Lt77 will fit fine. Don't forget the 300 needs engine mount welding on.


Edit just seen that you have the gearbox as well so straight fit.
