Hi.
Clutch pedal stayed on the floor after gear change during driving today.
I stopped engine and look into cylinder. fluid is ok.
but when i pull pedal up by hand its stayed up "hard"
It does not want to go any down.

The master cylinder is about one month old.
maybe faulty part...

Is it cylinder problem or something else?
 
sounds like the pushrod has gone through the clutch fork . Gearbox out time i'm afraid .
 
thats what happened to my wifes last month with same symptoms! if you unbolt the slave cyl the rod should stick out if not probably the fork.
 
I've just unbolted the slave cylinder.
The pushrod was inside, but cylinder also in pieces...

When i tried to gently pull the rod, just a little,
I have not found big resistance, also when I try to push it back.
only a bit of friction.

The rod is still in - i did not take it out.

Is that mean the fork has a hole with pushrod through it?

In case that i need to split the engine.
Can someone tell me what parts I need, please?
I know that i will need the fork but what else?
 
I did mine a few weeks ago, I found the easiest way to do this job is to remove the engine, once out you will see the clutch fork it wears through where it pivots, so that will need replacing I would advise replacing the slave cylinder too because it’s moved past it’s normal travel and probably will be damaged. Have good look at your clutch too while you have the engine out.
It’s not a bigger job as you think just fiddly , remove all that you can from engine while still on its mounts, mark all wires so you know where they belong, remove exhaust pipe from manifold, all fuel pipes, take out rad to give you room to move engine, once you have removed all pipes / wires/ ect ect, support engine on hoist remove engine mounts then under the car remove gear box to engine bolts, the top bolts are tricky you may need two or three extensions to reach them, also you can get someone to lower the engine while your under to give you room to get at the bolts., remember to remove earth straps.

noo dont take engine out! i did a search on here and there was a link that showed how to change clutch didnt even drop box fully just sat on cross member whole job done in a morning with basic tools and a trolley jack on my own! sorry im computer illiterate or id put the link on here!
 
hey daisydad wish i had have seen that link because this happened to my mates disco and we pulled the box rite out. wasnt the hardest job ever just time consuming as we had never done one before. took us two days and he replace clutch fork, clutch and cylinder.
if you can will you post that link?

Na take the engine out you get a far clearer view of whatÂ’s going on, and you can get at everything, aliening the clutch is easier , setting the fork and thrust bearing , whole job done in 6 hours
 
Thank You All. All is sorted now. Fork was pierced through.
New clutch, cover, fork, bearing, slave cyl. and all little pieces done.
Paid a 100 for mechanic in Poland as I was on holiday. He also fixed my diff-lock which was stuck.

Good job, did he pull the lump out or just split-n-slide it??
