i have finally fitted the 300 headlights to my 200tdi. it was a complete bastard of a job but made a whole lot easier with a template supplied by muddee. tomorrow is mot day so when i come back with a list of things that need repairing/replacing i will post some pics of my new lights

just bought 300 lights, indicaters and grill off ebay and done it myself. total cost £65

its almost there now, just gotta paint the bottom of the grill and ears.i am trying to find out which diy chain it is that will mix paint to the colour you require by scanning an object. i took my petrol cap into b&q and they scanned it and then told me it was one of ten colours they have in stock. there used to be an advert on the telly where a woman nicked a plastercine head off a model cos it was the colour she wanted

Yeah, I thought that was Dulux - which is what B&Q do. Maybe the ad was misleading?

Helen had B&Q make her some [Dulux] paint up to a colour that she took into them, but she doesn't think they do it any more.

hi yella disco don't know if its any help but there are a couple of automotive paint suppliers aroun here that can mix a perfect match for just about any paint colour and put it in a spray can. i'm sure there must be somewhere near you. they're about a fiver a can. and if you spray it and it don't match right they'll usually have another go free of charge.

try british airports authority, they have some landys in a fetching yellow color.

yes yes ormusm, thats where it came from but they said they can't remember as it was done in 91 so they might have changed colour or paint supplier now. really ****in helpful
