Hi the so called 3 amigos have turned up on my Td5 (HDC, ABS and TC warning lights) now there are plenty of different causes i have read about but on mine it looks as if the wheel bearing has collapsed ( metal on metal noise wheel sat on a angle) but also the brakes arent working the pedal goes right to the floor i havent had chance to strip it down but was wondering has it happened to anyone else. Cheers

wheel abs sensor goes through hub ,and has to be at a specific height above castleated ring on cv (very nearly touching )worn bearing allows the shaft to wobble altering air gap and causing abs light to come on ,abs system is used for hill decent ,traction control hence the 3 warning lights ,you can replace hub with bearing fitted ,as lr recommend or if hub undamaged replace just brg as would be done in modern car ,make sure castleated ring is clean and make sure sensor is pushed well in before fastening securing bolt, with the pedal going to the floor this shouldnt happen unless you cut brake line with wheel collasping ,pretty easy to bleed it old fashioned way once repaired

Thanks for the replies :)got it stripped down bearing has collapsed but the driveshaft being so loose has worn the seal, ordered now hub bearing assembly form paddock, so hopefully all sorted by xmas.

Right, so the new hub and sensor is on other one was well knackered, but the 3 lights still remain on. Does it need the fault codes clearing or is there still a fault somewhere?
