I have a discovery one 3.9 v8i runs fine if I leave it 4 5 min come bk 2 it it won’t start engine light on I’ve changed plugs leads distributor and cap an arm Thanks

It might not be your battery at fault, it could be your alternator not charging. How old is your current battery?
 
They say 'don't guess- test'. Ideally you could do with checking your battery and alternator output with a multimeter before you go spending money you might not have to. If you haven't got a multimeter try this basic test. When its going dark start the vehicle, turn on the headlights, rev the engine, if they go slightly brighter your alternator is working. Chances are you need a new battery as its not holding the charge. If you cannot see a date on the battery (because its in Japanese) chances are its the original battery from before it came from abroad (whenever that was) so its probably past its best.

That’s one of the symptoms of an iffy immobiliser which will fail totally eventually... if your Japanese spec D1 has one fitted.
