Hi Guys
Well im new here new to landys and new to v8 so be gentle with me.
Iv recently bought a 110 with a 3.9 v8 however last Sunday she started to pour out smoke form the exhaust, smelt of coolant so thats suggests that somehow water was getting into the outlet, we tightened the bolts to exhaust and found the front right to be very loose as well as the water pipe above it to be leaking, so new clips all tightened and away we went.
However still having the same issue, she over flows from the header tank and looses almost all water from the rad (but theres no evidence of where from)
She has apparently got a brand new 2.5 diesel rad (is this going to be enough to keep her cool?) Is there a fill limit to the rad, is this whys shes throwing her water away?
when weve filled her up and had her sat running we have noticed a froth in the header tank but its not oil, theres also no oil in water or water in oil.
Any help would really be appreciated.
Paul
Also is there ny way of finding out which engine i have as the guy i got it from had no details of what year it was or anything, so trying to get parts is a night mare.
