Just took head off of my disco Block is in a very bad way:-(( Deck has
collapsed on no 7 cylinder
Looking to buy a good second hand block, or whole engine if there is a
guarantee that its not like mine,
Someones probably got one stashed somewhere thats surplus to requirement if
you have please let me know

Depending on your level of plight may be worth considering as an option a
smear of p38 type filler and refit. This is an ultimate bodge and normally
I'd never suggest or entertain such an idea....However it worked for my Dad
in his younger days...(When the alternative was a pedal bike) how long it
will last I don't know. None the less worth a thought... I'm sure that
technology has provided far more appropriate soloutions such as liquid
metal... But as I've never tried or had comment on them I can't recommend
them.

I successfully repaired a cracked camchain cover with filler. However, you
don't want that doing holding oil somewhere that it shouldn't be, such as in
the timing belt casing, for example.

I'm afraid you're going to have to bite the bullet and get the front off the
engine (if it is indeed the front that's leaking) and replace the seal.
Unless you know the timing belt's been done recently then it'd make sense to
replace that at the same time and to check for alignment-problem wear.
