A short while ago I came across information regarding where to get an adaptor to attach to the MAF on a 3.9i that takes 2 K&N cone filters and wished I`d bookmarked it. None of the main and usual suppliers for D1V8`s have it, can`t even find photos online of one in situ, but I definitely saw one somewhere and recently. Thought it was on this forum but nothing comes up, have tried the usual searches elsewhere too but no joy.

After thoroughly cleaning out the one filter it made quite a difference and am thinking therefore that two can`t do it any harm and should allow max breathing ... on the external air intake anyway.

So if anyone knows, would you kindly reveal here please..

Seems a bit pointless. If you want to make a bit of difference fit a 72mm plenum. If you go all the way with ported heads and inlet, the maf becomes the limiting factor

Showoff!!

Well until I try it I won`t know, and in the absence of any further information telling more as to its usefulness, I will keep it on the back burner. Thanks for advice on 72mm plenum.

Your bay I take it, now you have gone to town on air intake or is that standard on `something`?

And what is the graphite grey cylinder looking thung on the left/nose with the 20** on it?

No it's not mine unfortunately, way too shiny. It is 2 plenums welded together, a homemade "Siamese" twin plenum, no mafs so presumably running megasquirt. Was just to illustrate when 2 k&n is worthwhile. Mine is way less bling
