Gromit2 Member Oct 5, 2010 #1 just converted my v8 to su carbs but it wont start it pops sometimes from the carbs does fire sometimes with a bit of smoke comeing out of the exhaust but just wont start. can anyone help?

Mr Noisy Coming in your ears. Oct 5, 2010 #2 check the igntion timing mate! should be 6 degrees BTDC i think. mine was VERY similar to this when the timing went out...
