Had a good scan of old posts . Some pikey sods syphoned my 86 RRC over the weekend and since then , refueled , it wont start . I have good spark . The fuel pump relay seems to contain no coil but some diodes and resistors I suppose because the pump comes on and off as needed . The adjacent relays come on . The red plastic central fuel pump relay with the diodes I took out and replaced with a regular coil one which chatters giving me the idea that its getting the signal .
I have opened the fuel pipe either side of the rear cannister filter , no flow , and at the fuel rail , no flow . Now since its raining and I have a lot of kit in the back I havnt emptied the truck and got to the pump itself yet .
I really know very little about petrol and common rail electric injection systems being an old fashioned diesel sort so dont know if air in the system is an issue here .
I most probably am missing something very obvious but its not my field....so mock if you will but remember when you have a diesel problem , oh , I will be avenged ! :drum:
