I was wondering if it is possible to adjust the idle on a 1988 3.5 EFI engine (from range rover classic) as its in a 90 there is no rev counter so i can only tell its high by listening. Cheers for any help

Yes you can, the adjuster is on the top plenum chamber, just remove the blanking/tamperproof plug if you still have one and turn the screw I think it was an allen screw.
Mixture adjustment is by a screw on the AFM again hidden by a blanking/tamperproof plug.

some require allen key/head, had one that required torx (!) key.
Clockwise to turn the revs down, Anticlockwise for revs up.

cheers guys.

I am getting a tapping noise from cylinder 2 and 4 which stops if i take ht lead off? there is no overheating and but cant figure out what it could be. Its like exhaust leak type noise any ideas? If i swap ht leads about on these cylinder noise goes but cylinder 2 exhaust runs cold compaired to the rest?
