My apologies. Good morning all, I'm Scott. I had Disco previously, but now looking at an RR. Any assistance with my question would be greatly appreciated.with all due respect would be best to introduce urself first and does come across better if u say plse or thk u
The 4.0l v8?I had Disco 3 4.0l v6 petrol. Just looking for something more refined and luxurious.
No, I used to have a 2007 4.0l V6 Disco. Now looking for either of the diesel RR. I think longer term there's not as many of the compared to the discovery. Might be way of the mark, but I'm hoping the RR hold their money better. The 4.0l v8?
The 4.4 diesel is deemed as better but the owners of the l322 models can better help you.
From the trawling through the internet, that's my thoughts.TBH.
The V6 still has a huge will it/wont it break the crank thought so its enough to put me off.
I would recommend the TDV8, get the 2011 on as that has the 8 speed box. Ours has been great.
As for holding their money I have no idea.

Where abouts are you, v6 4.0? No doubt but not a common engine in Europe! No, I used to have a 2007 4.0l V6 Disco. Now looking for either of the diesel RR. The Ford Cologne V6 was offered as the base model in RoW markets where the TDV6 2.7 was not offered. 210hp I think and the same engine that was in the SN95 Ford Mustang. SOHC and the last variant of the Cologne V6 (previously found in things like the 2.8 and 2.9 Sierra/Granada as well as other N. American spec models in OHV 4.0 guise). The 4.0l v8?

The 4.4 TDV8 is probably the best engine Land Rover has ever sold.Been looking at different options for 2010-2012 Range Rovers. What would you consider the best option TDV6 or TDV8? What are the Pro's and Cons of each.
What he saidThe 4.4 TDV8 is probably the best engine Land Rover has ever sold.
The TDV6 is ok, but less power and torque. And have a reputation for snapping cranks. That said, good engines otherwise and drive well and lots with 200,000+ miles on. So they aren't all unreliable. But I have no idea why you would opt for one if you could have a TDV8 for the same money/condition.
I had that when in NZ a few years ago.Where abouts are you, v6 4.0? No doubt but not a common engine in Europe!
