The uj joints have gone on my front prop. I've ordered the parts but they will not come till Wednesday. I need to use the disco for work on mon and tue. Wil it be ok to take the front prop off and lock the diff ? I will drive about 100 miles. I have heard that some people have done this and wrecked there transferbox, or is that not right ? I thought I should find out before making an expensive mistake !!!!!!!!

Well I have driven mine with it out testing vibe issues with no probs.

"Imo" it will be fine, just drive it "gently" while its out, ie build up speed smoothly, dont nail it off roundabouts etc.

It'll be fine just bear in mind a 2wd disco handles somewhat differently to a 4wd one especially if the road is slippy.
