Just a quick question, putting things back together today and the 2nd row floor seems to be sitting high.
Everything else lines up, eg rear tub, seat box, front floor, side frames, bulkhead, outer sills etc.
My only thought is that the chassis support brackets are sat too high (new Richards chassis) or the original 2nd row floor support is in the wrong place for the new chassis?
I'm thinking of moving the chassis brackets as the easiest escape?
Any thoughts?

What are the things that look like bits of old carpet on top of the brackets?
 
The original (Hessian) buffers
They look quite thick. You could try taking them out, and replacing them with something like the side of a plastic 5 litre can, which will be thinner. See if it goes down then.

It is a bit hard to say from pics, but it might also be that the gap the floor is trying to get into is a fraction small, so maybe try loosening the tub bolts, and the ones on the seat box, and seeing if the floor will go down then.
 
Don't ask why I didn't think of that! It's been one of those days.
Will try thinner buffers (the photo makes them look bigger than the ΒΌ"that they are. Got plenty of play between the kick panel and rear tub.

Don't be too perfectionist about it. The people that built it weren't.
If something was too thick, they put something thinner in instead, or just used dum dum mastic to stop vibration.
If they had that at the factory, they would probably have got the fattest bloke in the works to stand on the floor while someone else put the bolts in! :D

So fettling the chassis support brackets with a hammer is acceptable 😁
