Meant to post this 2 yrs ago, my Freelander timing belt was over due a change (62000 on clock), I got a quote from a Landrover dealer who told me it was a 10hr job at £80.00 per hour + the cost of the belts, I took it back to the used car dealer where i bought it (only a couple of months previous) and they did it for free and it only took them 3hrs so i don't know what the dealership was going to be doing for 7hrs. the used car dealer was Alex Scott at Guidepost in Northumberland. Hope this is of some help to someone
 
The garage I trust did it in 4 hours. So that's about reasonable. 10 hours is far to much.
However, timing belts are meant to last 80k, not 60k, as far as I know...
 
Yes, should last 80 000km. I guess in miles that would be 50 000. Had a similar experience with dealer, independant Landy expert did it for 25% of the cost, genuine parts included.
