I've decided to get some BFG MT's 255/85 r16 for my standard 110 2004 doublecab. Does anyone know what offset I require with the new wheels (7 inchers...either Compomotive XS or AT or Mach 5's) to compensate for the 2 inch vehicle height increase (4 inch tyre diameter increase)?
I assume that I need to make the track 2 inches wider (which equals 1 inch either side?). Do the wider tyres already have the necessary width increase 'built in?'
I gather that I do not need to do any modifications for them to fit and operate properly...is this right?

Thank you...Another question...Am I right in assuming that the extra width of the new tyres would automatically give me the extra track that I need to allow for the height increase?

Hi matey, to install a 2" lift same as mine, you do not need to worry about adding extra to the width of its stance at the wheels, it wont make any difference to the tipping over sideways point (once you get to the point of it tipping, youve gone too far). Offset at the wheels only benefits your turning circle. Offset adds slight more stress to the bearings etc. Personally i wouldn't bother with any offset unless you go for big tyres like the ones on mine....

Check the ex-mod 90 next to mine

It has 235/85 tyres fitted and has no lift, turning circle is fine.... your 255's may catch slightly on full lock, but just adjust the steering stop to compensate.
