Well I know people with vehicles capable of pulling ten coaches at 100mph, also another capable of 20 at 90

It is having the torque to get it rolling in the first instance,nothing to do with rolling resistance,that is just one aspect of it,especially as the engine is only a 2 litre one,with the auto box fitted.
