Project conclusion: Earlier the Defender the easier to learn mechanical basics, though obviously the older the vehicle the difficulty comes with sourcing parts. With both of us being Engineers were already at an advantage and understanding of mechanical principles. One thing for sure i've learnt working with defenders is patience is a great asset to have.

The reason for toning down the overland prepared defender to what it is now, was due to without being rude slap day workmanship from previous owners.

Spec of Defender (scratching the surface)
- 1991 Ex-MOD 110 Registered in 1998
- Snow Plow chassis (thicker cross members)
- 1992 Discovery 200tdi Engine (61,000)
- Resprayed in 2k Sandstone Paint
- HD OME Dampers/Springs
- Loads of parts replaced.

If you'd like to know anything else, please feel free to ask.
