Hi guys,
Looking to talk to someone who has modified their exhaust to get the nice whitsle and growl from their 200tdi.

Currently I have a straight through centre pipe, with a muffler at the back. It barely sounds any different to when I had a centre silencer.

If I take off the rear muffler it's ridiculously loud.

I can't put the centre silencer back on and try it without the rear muffler as I don't have a centre silencer.

Can anyone shed some light on this, do I need the centre silencer and no rear muffler?

Thank you!

I've a straight through pipe with side exit on my 200tdi. Sounds . I'm in the country so no problem with sound bouncing off buildings.

I have run my 200 without the back box and only the centre after the corrosion got to it. Hardy any difference except for some drumming under the rear floor, did not bother replacing it until MOT time.
