Hi All,

I got NRC5544 to replace the knackered ones on my rad frame... but can i get these new grommets in, NO . Destroyed two already, they are just so stiff and very tight. Does anyone have any tricks on getting these in or a better alternative item?

Drop into hot water for a few minutes and use a lubricant WD40 or some such and the jobs a good un,

I had to cut chunks off to get mine in.

I just fitted a set of BP items to my 300TDi and they all fitted perfectly without any struggling.
Perhaps give them a wipe with vaseline (or similar) first?

I blame the galvanising on my chassis making the holes smaller. Didn't want to enlarge the holes.

My chassis is galvanised as is the radiator frame but they still fitted fine, as you say you don't want to be enlarging the holes.
Try some lube first.

Boiling water should do the trick.

Don't understand that (?) NRC5544 are the grommets with the square section that fit in the brackets that bolts onto the slam panel.
Where are you trying to fit these ?

Do you think part # 572312 would be better ?

I think you're right, I fitted the top ones at the bottom in my build ! doh!!
