Drove from the South coat to North Wales for a week away (what nice area that is!). No issues with the landy :), but on checking the levels on my return I noticed the exhaust is rusting where it comes out of the silencer. So the question is do I put a stainless straight through mid section on? This is a daily driver so don't want boy racer sounds but not adverse to a bit of a rasp to it......

So yes or no, and any recommendations? Looking at Paddocks at the moment which is only £50.....

Having just fitted a stainless straight through pipe I'd say go for it there isn't any real difference noise wise. I was apprehensive about fitting one until I drove my brothers with one fitted.

I can also confirm. Straight centre box doesn’t make much difference to noise. 3” straight through to a 4” side exit sure does though lol

Replaced the ctr section on my 200Tdi 90 a couple of years ago for a st steel straight through.
Not much noise increase at all, did find a couple of extra mph going up my local hill though, so engine seems to be breathing easier. :):)
