I think I have just broke the injector pump on my 200tdi :(
I have pressurised fuel from the lift pump upto the injector pump but no fuel at the injectors?
It had been running fine all day including towing a scrap car in. When I started it to go home it started with a quick rev up without my intervention, I did think this was odd but it then drove fine. I got to the end of the estate, stopped at a junction, went to pull away and it lurched forward and stopped :(
No noises or anything ?
Lift pump is working so cam belt must be ok, yes?

So onto pump change..
I run a fair bit of WVO, have done for some years, so would prefer a Bosch pump, would a 300TDI pump fit?
Other options?

cheers

hi there a 300 tdi pump will not be suitable , have you checked all the other things such as stop selonoid ? if that is not working you will have no presure at injectors ,try put 12v to it see if it clicks etc check feed also ????? worth a try .....

a 300 pump is still a bosch and i have had one on a 200 for a few years with a few tweaks and no problem at all.

Did that tonight, power to solenoid and an audible click so I guess it is ok.
Not always the case. The electrical side may work but the mechanical side can get stuck. take it out and check the plunger and spring are free moving and clean. if there is any debris or rust in there clean it out and try again. However if there is a lot of rusty manky looking **** then i'd say the pump is goosed. can be caused by poor quality fuel etc.

I would have thought that a sticky solenoid would cause a start failure rather than a sudden stop?
