Hi All,

I'm going to run some ceramic block sealent into my 200TDI, is has a slightly porous block. Just wondered what is the best way to remove 100% of the antifreeze in the system.

I was thinking of removing the bottom hoses drain, stick a hose in the top of the filler and turn on, keep going etc.

But, do I need to remove the thermostat, and also flush through the heater element etc?

Any help would be great.

Also, any additive coolant flushes I should use?

I think there's a drain plug at the bottom of the block for getting all the coolant out of the engine? As well as doing what you've already said.

Drain bung slightly hidden behind turbo, but even a hose wont get it all out, drain it down refill with water take it on a decent stat opening run then drain refill again, run and drain and it will be pretty clean.
